Landlord Tenant Mediation

The Landlord-Tenant Mediation Program offers neutral facilitation that may assist individuals experiencing a housing conflict or housing instability. Mediation supports individuals with maintaining housing, and building and rebuilding relationships. We provide housing education, facilitation, and a path to stabilization and self-sufficiency. The Landlord-Tenant Mediation program accepts requests from tenants, landlords, property managers or owners, and acts as a bridge between landlords and tenants to navigate conflict.

Landlord Tenant Mediation

This service supports individuals with maintaining housing and avoiding evictions by navigating conflicts between landlords and tenants. This solutions-driven program offers neutral facilitation to mitigate damages, mobility and prevent homelessness. Through maintaining a neutral position, mediators are able to find creative solutions, remedies and transparency without the conflict.

 Landlord-Tenant Mediation is NOT case management, and does not offer rental assistance or deposit assistance. Mediation does not provide legal representation and cannot provide legal advice in any way.

Our landlord tenant mediation program acts as a bridge to navigate conflicts between landlords and tenants. This service assists with landlord/tenant education and tenant rights. This service may help maintain housing and avoid evictions but does not include any legal services or representation.

Who is Eligible?

Priority

If you have a 3 day-pay or vacate- we will work as quick as we can to process your application. If you are having issues with your landlord, our application process is 1-2 weeks. 

By Income

There is no income requirement, but you will need to take all proof of income to your appointment.

By Location

Utah Community Action’s Landlord Tenant Mediation serves the whole state of Utah.
